Assembly
Friday 17th October, 2025 - Celebration Assembly
Assembly was lovely today. It was a very special Celebration Assembly where children across the school were able to bring in medals, trophies, LEGO and many other items to share in assembly. Today was about celebrating children’s achievement beyond the school gate; recognising that children can have many talents that we may not see in school and that these talents can be varied and unique.
Friday 10th October, 2025 - Shine, Spina Bifida
Today we welcomed Laura from Shine Charity to school for a brilliant assembly all about Spina Bifida!
Our KS2 pupils learned how the nervous system works and how Spina Bifida can affect it.
A huge thank you to Laura for helping us understand more about inclusion and how we can support others. We’ll be fundraising for Shine later this term… watch this space!
Friday 3rd October, 2025 - Safeguarding Assembly
On Friday, we had safeguarding assemblies for P1-3 and P4-7. These assemblies were to remind children that, if they have a problem or concern, that there are many trusted adults in the school building that they can talk to. Each assembly ended with a really enjoyable rendition of the NSPCC ‘Pantosaurus’ song ?
Friday 26th September, 2025 - Social and Emotional Learning for P1-3
On the theme of emotions, the P1-3 got the chance to enjoy the story ‘Henry’s Big Angry Feelings’. Everyone in the assembly, children and adults, said that they had been angry before and that it was an uncomfortable feeling. The story characters had lots of helpful tips and we practised belly breathing and counting to ten. These strategies really made me feel nice and calm.
Friday 26th September, 2025 - Fairtrade Friday for P4-7
P4-7 had a different type of Assembly – this was a special assembly related to Fairtrade Friday. As a school, we will be celebrating Fairtrade Friday next Friday and your child can mark it by bringing in a nut-free Fairtrade snack.
Friday 17th September, 2025 - Saying Goodbye to Sheila!
This week in assembly, we had the opportunity to say goodbye to Sheila. Sheila has been a classroom assistant here at Forge for 10 years. She has been a calm and consistent presence in the school and I know that she will have touched the hearts of many children and parents over that time. She is a great loss to us here, but we know that she will very much enjoy her retirement adventures.
Friday 5th September, 2025 - The FORGE Way
Assembly this morning was such an example of our children living the school values of being SAFE, RESPONSIBLE and RESPECTFUL. We really are showing The FORGE Way in school ?
